 “YOU’RE ALMOST DONE, GUYS!” yells John Hackleman. It is noon on a beautiful Southern California Tuesday. San Luis Obispo Kickboxing is actually located North of SoCal and is considered Central California, but it doesn’t know that. It’s late December and close to 70 degrees without a cloud in the sky, one of those mythic Golden State days immortalized by the Beach Boys and “Baywatch.” The Pit Fight Team couldn’t tell you about the weather outside, because in their world it is 89 degrees and humid, with a 95% chance of pain.
