Hi ya`s! Wanted to send my greetings from Finland and from the bottom of my heart thank Chuck for everything he has done for the sport and for what he stands for as a athlete and as a private person. Once a true Iceman fan always a true Iceman fan. It was a great battle against Ace (even though I love both I feel sad it turned that way this time around, could have easily gone either way) I`m still kind of hoping Chuck (Chuck`s a big "boy" and knows what`s best for him and everybody at this point:)) would have at least that one more fight (maybe against Tito?) for us all true fans. Whatever you do always live good and enjoy everything in life to the Max. Best wishes to you Heidi and everyone:)!

Hi Chuck. My husband and I are, what i consider to be one of your biggest fans. I can't wait to meet you this Saturday, June 26 at Revolutions in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I will be there to watch you and get your autograph and hopefully get a picture of both of us with you. Will you be selling Tshirts there as well. I would definitely love an Iceman Tshirt autographed by you. I love you. You are definitely my hero. Cathy

I was just checking out a self defense video and they were showing how effective and devastating a right hook can be. Reminded me of UFC 115, particularly Franklin's finishing punch. And here I am... I have to totally agree on what you said: "I think I looked good and I definitely was in great shape". I was very impressed that you showed some abs and not a belly, man! I said to myself, Franklin is getting his ass kicked, no way Chuck loses. Same thing I said to my father, as we watched Holyfield-Tyson II, because of the tremendous shape Holyfield showed in that fight. "No way Evander loses tonight". Unfortunately he lost a part of his ear... The point to all this, and superstars like Mick Jagger can tell you, "you're never too old to rock n' roll". Dana White does not determine when you stop fighting, you do. Many fans here have suggested Strikeforce, which I'm sure is worth considering. Hendo didn't hesitate, and neither did Fedor (Babalu would his pants if you signed there). Hell, Fabricio Werdum, who was cut from the UFC, is facing Fedor on saturday 26, something Randy Couture would die for (and you kicked his ass twice). Speaking of Randy, he's 47 and facing James Toney in august. You have a great team behind you, an awesome girlfriend and loads of fans that believe and want you to keep kicking ass. And no, this is not the "believe in yourself" bull. You'll figure it out and come back strong, I'm sure. Work, work and more work...

    Chuck,man
i saw your last fight awhile ago and was thinking why didnt you win? You broke his F**king arm i was really surprised he knocked you out but that probably wouldnt of happened 10 years ago. Still rich won out of luck not skill,LUCK. And dana is wrong , yes you are getting older but you can still fight, if thats what you love to do. Its wrong for dana to think for you. But maybe he is worried about your health. I know alot of fans dont really care about your health and they only want to see more fights. Hey if you can get back on your feet and start taking people out again thats cool. But you should always worry a little about your self and if you have to chose between one more fight and retiring I say kick the out of Tito for me and if you dont then everyone will still remember The ICEMAN!!!

Dear Chuck, You looked great against Rich Franklin. If it were Tito we know you would have knocked him out that night. Ace is very under-rated and should be a ranked Lt Heavy. I'm not making a case for you to continue fighting but I'm also not joining the chorus of Dana White flunkies who keep saying you have to retire. Since Randy Couture was KTFO by Lesnar he has been fed a steady diet of lesser opponents. He got a gift decision against Vera who's not ranked. He got Mark Coleman who's 46 years old and well past his prime. Now he's getting James Toney who has zero MMA experience and is 47. What I am trying to say by telling you this is that just because you are not beating these very top level opponents it doesn't mean you can't fight if you want to. You just have to recognize where you are at at this age and decide what kind of fights you should be taking. The Chuck I saw last week would still knock out Tito or babalu or probably anyone not in the top 12. Maybe it's time to move on from UFC. Right now you would no doubt be the strikeforce Lt Heavy Champ if you wanted to. It just depends on how YOU feel about it not Dana White or Joe Rogan. There are many older fighters who are past prime that are fighting in less demanding situations because fighting is what they love to do and they still want to compete. Dana knows that and he knows that you can still sell plenty of tickets so he wants U to retire rather than make money for someone else.
    Best Wishes
    Fury

Chuck I am a big fan and have followed UFC from the beginning, I want to say that you did a great job with your team. You are and always will be the name in UFC, I watched tonight's fight and was very moved by Magee's determination and dedication to you for what you did for him.I knew he would win and was so impressed that he dedicated that fight to the man ( ICEMAN the great). Stay strong and I will be your fan what ever you may choose to do.

Chuck, as I stated before you are an Icon and have worked your way up to the status that you are at now. Schmidt maybe misunderstood all of your fans intentions when we say we do not want you to retire. We worry about your health and think you are an amazing Icon and yes a "Hero" to many. No one will think any less of you if you retire now, but what we fans want is for you to be able to make YOUR own decision on whether you retire or not. No one has the right to make you retire, not even Dana whom you have made rich and elevated the sport for. Get well and enjoy your life and if you do go back to the octagon, remember you have millions of fans rooting for you! We love you and in my home I have boycotted UFC until Dana apologizes for saying you are retired without your consent. Get well and God Bless

Hey Chuck Jeff for Scotland again pal. You still have all the tools to take any f**cker out, but your chin is gone the punches you've been going down with you would have eaten for luch a couple of years ago. There will never be another Ice Man! You will also be king in my book but please stop the fight game I hate see you going out like this. You have all to prove you've done it all and with class. You will be in MMA forver so sit back pal and enjoy the your kids, money and a happy life.

Well, Iceman, I think it's time to hang it up. Granted, you're in great shape and were beating Franklin, Evans, and possibly even Shogun before getting drilled, but, the unfortunate truth is your brain cannot absorb those types of shots any longer. You've suffered some serious concusions starting with the Rampage fight and, in light of what you've accomplished in a spectacular career, there is no sense in facing serious, permanent injury. While a lot of the posts here are well intentioned and plea for you to return, these folks don't have your health or best interests at heart. You're a human being - not a comic book hero - and people will need to find another icon to worship. So, please retire instead of continuing to walk into punches, Chuck. These recent losses shouldn't tarnish your legacy as the best light heavyweight to have ruled the UFC...

Hey Chuck, i just wanted to say Dana is wrong i don't know what fight he was watching but you was killing Rich. Every fighter can get a lucky punch and that is what happened i hope you fight again either in the ufc or somewhere else.

My name is Steve Ashdown from Long Island, NY. I am a big fan of the UFC. I have followed your career as a fighter in the UFC and just wanted to tell you, you have changed the sport in such a positive way! I know that you worked so hard in your fight against Rich at UFC 115. Like you said before, everyone gets caught, but unfortunately it happened to be you. In my opinion, I do not feel you should retire. I feel that you are in great shape and have a solid support system in place to eventually be back on the road to regain the light heavyweight championship. I honestly feel you are capable of this goal and have a real legitimate shot to do so!! I know Dana White has said it before about retiring, but I still think you have plenty left in the tank so to speak and wish you the best of luck. Whatever decision you make, it will be the right one. Best of luck!!!

Steve A. If you recieved this e-mail already, I am sorry. First time I used the site.

    Chuck!!

Just had to register and say, I admire and respect you, and disagree with Dana White for saying you'll never fight again.
You were killing Rich Franklin before the KO, for real. I was very impressed with your performance. Rich got lucky.
    peace
